About Luke Jian
I’m a DB geek working as Solutions Architect for Physicians Interactive Inc. a former division of Allscripts-Misys (MDRX).
I was born in Romania, I started using computers when I was 4 or 5 as both my parents were teaching Software Engineering at “Politehnica” University of Timisoara. I started to become interested in databases because under my father’s influence as he was teaching (and still is) database systems. The first database system I used was dBase III on CP/M. I have over 10 years of experience in database systems focused primarily on performance tuning on both Oracle and SQL Server.
